The Department of Health has contacted Spur ISD in regards to providing a location to vaccinate students between the ages of 12-18. If you are interested in your children receiving the Pfizer vaccine for Covid-19 please fill out the form below. If you are not interested in your child being vaccinated you do not need to fill out the form. Spur ISD is using this form to gauge interest from our parents in order to set up a clinic if we have parents interested. Spur ISD would like to offer this option to anyone that feels they would like for their children to receive the vaccine. Spur ISD Summer Feeding Program
Spur ISD is required to participate in the Texas Department of Agriculture Summer Feeding Program. The cafeteria will be open each week day beginning Monday, May 24th, through Friday, June 25th. Any child 18 years and younger will be able to eat lunch for free in the cafeteria. The meal will be served from 11:45 A.M. to 12:15 P.M. The meal will be of the same quality as those served throughout the school year; however, only one entrée will be served each day. Again, any child 18 years old or younger may eat lunch for free. This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
Tonight's Spur ISD NHS Ceremony has been postponed for 1 hour. We will now start at 7pm tonight.
Kindergarten graduation will be Thursday, May 20th at 9:30 AM in the domes. Come support these kids on their awesome accomplishment!
Tonight at 6pm the FFA banquet will be held in the cafeteria. There will be a meal included (Fried chicken).

I received this email from a coach from Wildorado ISD today. Great job Jorden Zarate!!!!! Way to represent you, your family, and Spur ISD!!!!
Good afternoon. My name is Mi Rendon and I am an assistant track coach at Wildorado ISD and out of all of the amazing things I witnessed on the track it was what happened off the track and was by one of your athletes. It was just a small simple gesture but one I will always talk about and use as an example when we talk to our athletes about how an athlete should act. This young man could have easily past right by me, just as other boys AND men did but instead hurriedly came up to offer to carry two heavy cases of water to his competitors camp without expecting any reward but was rewarded with only a simple sandwich and he said we made his day but I can assure you it was the other way around!!! Good luck at state, especially the Chik Fil A kid! He deserves a medal! Good job Spur!

If you are interested in watching the Bi-District One Act Play competition today at the Spur ISD Auditorium the plays will begin at 2:00pm and will be on a rolling schedule. Play order beginning at 2:00pm is Petersburg, Spur, Jayton, O'Donnell, Crosbyton, Guthrie.
Chess Club Announcement
Attention Spur families- we will be having an informational meeting and taking sign ups during the lunch periods on Thursday, March 11th for a competitive chess club. We aren't just doing puzzles, we're going to travel to play other teams and enter tournaments. It will be open to grades 1-12, with age appropriate practices and activities. We plan to start practices the week after Spring Break, which will be once a week for about an hour. We will do all we can to deconflict with other extra-curricular activities and won't hold it against kids who miss now and then. Encourage your kids, if you think they might be interested. There will be no cost involved in any of the local activities and you'll get a free online chess account to practice with and learn on as well. Just a reminder that tomorrow, Friday, February 26, is a scheduled early release for Spur ISD. Classes will be released at 1:00. Buses will run at that time.

There will be a pep rally for the Bulldog basketball team on Friday, February 26 at 12:00 in the dome. The Bulldogs will take on Paducah Friday night at 6:30 at Lubbock Christian High School in the Regional Quarterfinals. Let's go Bulldogs!!!
Tonight's game between The Bulldogs and Whitharral will be live streamed on the NFHS network and will not be live streamed on Facebook due to UIL Rules. NFHS Network has the rights to all UIL playoff games and they are broadcasting the game tonight. We will be broadcasting it on the Spur Bulldogs app or on our webpage. When you open the app just scroll down to Sports radio and you should be good.
