Just a quick reminder that the Varsity Football Game tonight Vs Vernon Northside will start at 7:00pm instead of the normal time of 7:30. Peewee Football players that are going to run out of the tunnel with the team need to be down at the fieldhouse by 6:45. Students will run out of the tunnel and then go to the bleachers.
Reminder that tomorrow is the Pink Out Pep Rally in the Dog Domes.

Spur Spurettes Big Sister-Little Sister Mentor Basketball Program
Who: 1st - 6th graders Where: Spur Old Gym
When: October - 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th. Time: 3:45 - 4:45pm
Cost: $20.00 (for their custom t-shirt)
❖ I am trying to provide an opportunity for our HS Spurettes to “mentor” and give back to our younger Spurettes. Each “mini” Spurette will be assigned to a HS Spurette. The high school mentors will have a list of fundamentals, skills, and games they will teach our mini Spurettes. Your child will learn basketball skills and will also have the opportunity to form relationships with our Spurettes. We want our HS Spurettes to be examples that our younger girls should follow. This will provide them the opportunity to interact with them and teach them about basketball.
❖ Practice will begin at 3:45pm and end at 4:45pm. Our HS Spurettes will escort our 1st - 5th “mini” Spurettes from the elementary to the gym once school is over. Our 6th grade will change in their locker room and meet us in the old gym. You will need to pick up your children from in front of the old gym as promptly around 4:45pm as you can.
❖ Your child’s shirt will have her big sister’s # on the back. She will be allowed to wear it anytime she wants, but our hope is that it will propel them to attend basketball games and watch their “big sisters.”
❖ At half-time of one of our home games, the little sisters will go through their own “pre-game” warm-up and be introduced with their “big sister” and be recognized for their hard work. I am very excited to try this out this year and for our big Spurettes to make an impact on our “mini” Spurettes.
❖ If you are interested in your child becoming a “little sister” to one of our Spurette basketball players, please fill out the form on the backside of this and email or bring it to Coach Castellon. The form and money must be returned by Thursday, Sept. 30th.
● I grant permission for my child to participate in the Spurettes Big Sister-Little Sister Mentor Basketball Program and acknowledge the fact that he/she is physically able to participate in camp activities. I hereby release Spur ISD and it’s employees of all claims of injury or illness which may be sustained by my child and authorize the camp director to select and administer treatment of my child on an emergency basis.
